This web-site outlines the procedure for the approval of third party software to:
- demonstrate compliance with the carbon emission requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations for England and Wales;
- calculate Asset Ratings as part of preparing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Display Energy Certificates (DECs); and
- calculate Operational Ratings as part of preparing Display Energy Certificates (DECs)
This includes the following classes of third-party software:
- software applications of SAP 2005 (including RdSAP 2005)
- Operational Rating Calculation
- Front-end Interface for the Simplified Building Energy Model engine
- Dynamic Simulation Modelling
